Emmy Award winner Norton Virgien is the director of Disney Junior’s imaginative animated series “The Happy Hugglemonsters”, which is based on Naimh Sharkey’s popular children’s book, “The Happy Hugglewugs”. In 2010, Virgien relocated to Dublin, Ireland to work out of the Ireland-based production office of the award-winning Brown Bag Films, the company responsible for all of the animation on “The Happy Hugglemonsters.”
A veteran in the world of animation, Virgien received two Emmy Awards for directing on the popular Nickelodeon series “Rugrats.” His additional television credits include Paramount Television’s “Duckman,” CBS Television’s “Santo Bugito” and Nickelodeon’s “Penguins.” His feature film credits include “The Rugrats Movie,” “Rugrats Go Wild,” “Rugrats in Paris,” “The Wild Thornberry’s Movie” and “Curious George 2.” More recently he completed directing season one of the Disney Junior hit pre-school show “Doc McStuffins”.
