When I created the Spanish Dancer sculpture the concept was to make some kind of 3D tapestry with mixed media. The work is inspired mostly by the sensual rhythms of music and dance.
Medium: sculpture - wire and wool
Dimensions: 137cm (height)
Angels, Music, Silver and Gold - that was inspiration for me. The music manuscript is a small excerpt from Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven
Medium: Tapestry (triptych)
Dimensions: 100cm x 180cm
Julita is an independent artist who works with different kinds of of arts expression. She has been spoken of a 'Renaissance' woman - on one side she is a painter, sculptor, welder and carpenter and on another she is a singer, composer and guitarist. Additionally she is an interior and graphic designer.
Julita graduated from Art College with a specialization in Art Tapestry and Interior/Architectural Design in Poland. Julita has also studied in a Polish Iconographic School.
At the heart of my work is working in many many materials and techniques, such as painting; mixed-media; tapestry; sculpture; interior and graphic design.
For the most part I make recycled artworks. I really want to give a second life to the type 'waste materials' we discard in our consumer societies.
