Kids of all ages brought their original Lego creations, displayed them for all to admire – and some even received be a prize for their effort.
This year we also had on display three Lego art projects from three of our local primary schools, namely Réalt na Mara, Skerries Educate Together N.S. , and St. Patricks Junior School. The winning school was St Patrick’s Junior School, and they won a specially commissioned lLego trophy!!! We are hoping to present all three fantastic creations during the Soundwaves Festival in September.
Apart from fun-day favourites like the Wheel of Fortune, face painting and an Arts and crafts area, there was a hotly contested Lego Build Off. Everything was Awesome! Working in a team, contestants had to beat the clock and build something inspired in just four minutes. Wow. It being Father’s Day, there was also a special Father & Child section. Such creativity!
Soundwaves would like to thank all those who came along for making the day so bright and so much fun – and for raising money for our festival in the process!
