Words from the High Wood
Words and Music in Ardgillan Castle
A wonderful afternoon in the splendour of the Morning Room in Ardgillan Castle.
Marie Bashford-Synnott, Enda Coyle Greene, Maggie O’Dywer and Peter O’Neill will join Maurice Harmon, who lived in Ardgillan as a child before and during the war. Roaming freely through the woods and fields and up the long avenue from the sea fields to the castle yard, he watched cows being milked, rode his bicycle along the sea road and watched trains hurtling through the wood beside the house. Much of this is in his poetry. Music will be provided by the talented Paul Enright on keyboards.
